In 2008 we opened our newest building Wynn Park Villa which is a privately owned home for special care, licensed under the Department of Seniors & Long-Term Care. We have sixty long term care beds and are located in a quiet residential neighbourhood in Truro, Nova Scotia. At the heart of this family owned and operated home is our dedication to the promotion of health and dignity, enhancing lives of others in a home like environment.
Wynn Park Villa has twenty-four hour nursing care. Our care is reflective of our mission statement. We are committed to providing quality care and recognizing holistic needs and resident rights. In co-operation with residents and families we wish to promote wellness, independence and self-determination.
Residents personalize their rooms with pictures and personal treasures. Increased safety is provided with call bell system and ceiling lifts. Each nursing unit has a nursing station, a surveillance security system, television room and dining room where home cooked meals are provided.

Our care team is made up of all Wynn Park Villa staff who are dedicated and respectful, working together to provide quality care. Staff are friendly, nurturing and provide ongoing mentorship. Staff include Administration, RN’s, LPN’s, CCA’s, recreation, dietary, housekeeping, laundry, maintenance and volunteers to help support and care for our residents. Dietician, occupational therapist and physiotherapist also provide services to our facility. Mobility program, pet therapy and foot care are provided. Volunteer services are also provided.
Employee development is very important and ongoing education and training is provided. Health and wellness is promoted.

Veterans
At Wynn Park Villa we have five designated beds for Veterans. Department of Veterans Affiars are available for support with Walking Aids/Wheelchairs etc, which can be loaned to veterans who may require assistance over time. The Veterans also have great support from our local legions. Each and every one of our verterans played an integrated part in our history and we are honoured to be able to provide them a home in our faciltiy.
