This is a regular, full time position, Monday to Friday, 8 hour shifts. Work location is in person

Compensation range: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year

Wynn Park Villa is seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee the development, implementation, and management of HR initiatives. This role will focus on recruitment, retention, professional development, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The HR Manager will align these efforts with our mission, vision, and values, with an emphasis on diversity, inclusion, and equity. This role will involve close collaboration with management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead recruitment and staffing efforts, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding.
  • Ensure HR policies are adhered to and assist with performance management, including attendance and return-to-work processes.
  • Oversee staff education, training programs, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Produce employment documentation, maintain accurate records, and collaborate on payroll and benefits administration.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture with a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion, and support retention efforts through engagement surveys and attendance management.

 

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resource Management.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in HR Management, preferably in healthcare.
  • Extensive knowledge of Labor Relations, Nova Scotia Labor Laws, and Human Rights.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in strategic planning, policy development, and compliance.
